the fact that the campaign would send Palin to a state as red as Nebraska makes you wonder.

McCain recently announced that he is giving up on Michigan, and maybe this opened up some dates and she decided to come to Omaha? I believe they could raise a lot of $ here. Just a guess.

Isn't it obvious? The McCain camp is deathly afraid of losing Nebraska's 4 EV on the basis of recent polling trends showing Obama leading in the state by 7%. It couldn't have anything to do with, you know, fundraising in a city, located in a heavily Republican state, that happens to share media market overlap with battleground states like Iowa or Missouri.

Thank you!!!! I'd also add that Mike Johanns is trying to retain Hagel's seat. Although I don't think Johanns is in trouble, I'm really not sure.
