Honestly, I don’t know what people think when they listen to things like this. Palin clearly lost the debate. Biden kept on track with the questions and constantly battered McCain and tied him to Bush with every chance. In short, he played the RAT strategy to the ‘T’. Sarah, OTOH, floundered about 50% of the time and tried to keep bringing up her home-town-ness and McCain’s ‘Maverick’ credentials. On several questions, she just left the studio and went off into the weeds. Overall, she did poorly. IMO, Biden took the debate handily.
Of course, this doesn’t make me the least happy, but at least I’m not drinking the kool-aid.
Here’s the thing. About 1 % of the viewers actually understand the background of what they were talking about. It was mostly a boring blurr. They see the ‘person’. Who was the most likeable? I say it was Palin. Even Biden liked her.
I don’t like it, but that’s the way people watch these things.
You, me and NCFool are the designated drivers in case someone spiked the kool-aid, I’m afraid.
You must have been watching SNL.
As a debate scored by points, yes she lost, hands down. I don’t see how she could have won, when Biden knows McCain better than she does. She did what she could and I bet she’s glad it’s over. She definitely is more charming and much easier to look at - she has a professionalism and integrity that you normally don’t find in politics. I hope McCain can step up these final few weeks.
“Of course, this doesnt make me the least happy, but at least Im not drinking the kool-aid.”
You must be drinking something.
She missed some opportunities, but I had it a lot closer. She scored well on energy and foreign affairs something the Dems didn't expect. Biden blathers a lot, and Palin didn't respond well to a number of his lies. But overall pointwise she did all right. Where she really won was presenting herself as a bonafide prez candidate to the public where she succeeded hugely. Buck up pal, she did alright.
