That makes 448 pages of earmarks, right?

I heard big money for alternative fuel investment. That has nothing to do with the bailout, and everything to do with posturing for upcoming elections. Once again, Congress is playing politics rather than addressing the "crisis" ina prudent manner.

This is the reason why congress has such a low rating!

Rest assured, John McCain in his best Mr. Peeper’s voice will find much that is objectionable — and then go along.

Yesterday the DOW opened up and stayed that way the whole day. Everyone said it was because 'The Markets anticipated a bailout bill'. Or was it because the day before the BB failed?
Today we are promised a bill out of the Senate and the market is down as I type this. What is the market anticipating today? I say markets were up BECAUSE there was no bill, will go down on the reaming that is to come.

email sent to Senators:
Dear Senator xyz, Please OPPOSE the Economic rescue bill. Hard earned taxpayer money should NOT be used to bail out Wall Street and mortgage companies. Thank you.

Because the people who told you it was up in favor of a bailout were either lying or guessing. Another FReeper called it manufactured consensus. Basically you repeat what you hope happens as if it's already happened in an attempt to demoralize opposition. It's a lot like what happened on election night in Florida 2000 and exactly the same thing they tried during the amnesty fight.

I just emailed my two Ohio Senators. My biggest question, how did we go from several pages to over 400? Is ACORN getting pork? Please email your senators!
I simply typed in Ohio Senators and their email info came up, very simple.

Thanks....read it and called my Senate slimeballs from Ohio....
The Republican answered and the girl promised to pass on my concerns...to wit I said ..."yeah that's the standard BS answer."
Then I called my Democratic senator....I was put on hold......... told my call was important....... and then the line went to a busy signal........and finally I was hung up on......... twice......
What should I think is the conclusion for that happening twice?.........

I heard big money for alternative fuel investment. I guess there is no "global economic crisis" if they have time to put anything in the bill except economics.
