Our current economic troubles are but another FAILURE OF SOCIALISM -- not capitalism.
The left has always used FEAR, UNCERTAINTY and CYNICISM to their great benefit.
THEY WANT POWER -- I don't think you understand just how much THEY WANT POWER -- they will ENSLAVE you and yours in a heartbeat to get what they want.
The Democrats of the 60's and before have been replaced by HARD-CORE LEFTISTS. These are not Americans -- these are socialists that do not hold individualism as the cornerstone of a great country -- THEIR CORNERSTONE IS SACRIFICE.
It's time to stop turning the other cheek!
They are playing for keeps. They are intent on taking away from you the America you have known. They are intent on taking away the freedom that would allow you and yours to flourish, to prosper and be happy.
SOCIALISM CANNOT COEXIST WITH FREEDOM
FORGET MCCAIN -- the Democrats/Socialists MUST NOT be allowed to take the White House.
Imagine hard-core leftists in the White House.
Consider Obama's associations with Communists, Socialists, Racists and American terrorists and architects of our current financial problems--some of whom ARE STILL WORKING WITH HIM AND WILL BE PART OF HIS CABINET.
Imagine 70-80%+ Taxation.
Imagine your children working 70-80%, or more, of every year TO PAY THEIR TAX BILL! The 20-30% that’s left is what they get to build their lives on. Maybe Fannie and Freddie will still be around then to help them with their home purchase – oops, sorry, wrong skin color.
Imagine wanting to choose a good doctor for your children and learning YOU HAVE NO CHOICE – the left has already made it for you.
Perhaps the biggest loss of all:
Imagine the free spirit, the confidence, the grit, the gumption and the truly glorious creativity of Americans gone, possibly forever. These are but the effect and the natural result of freedom and its only compatible economic system: CAPITALISM.
Confident and life-affirming Jazz music was created here in America -- it could not have been created anywhere else on the planet.
Old Hollywood and all the confidence, benevolence and the bigger-than-life American sense-of-life that it celebrated could not have happened anywhere else. GONE! You could argue it’s gone already – why? Where did it go? Who’s running “the show” now?
Humans in America are not superior.
Americans are not genetically superior. We have no physical attribute any greater than other humans in other countries (our broad shoulders, muscles, good teeth and strong presence is direct result of free living and the bounty that is capitalism, not genes).
Our greatness has come from the ideas and principles we live by -- that's it.
Our living up to something, chasing happiness through the ideal of individualism – our unique idealistic vision and the knowledge that it is possible for each of us to follow-through-on-it is what gives Americans that rugged "cockyness" that the left loves to hate.
The swagger in Ronald Reagan’s step and the contagious confidence in his smile, the fierce assertion of his character – that was the virtue of American ideals and American masculinity shining through for all to witness.
I guess the real question would be: Do you think Reagan would have become the same man if born in another country? I think not. Opportunity costs, anyone? Could the result of American life not only be individual happiness but the lessening of these opportunity costs across humanity? Could America’s existence raise humanity to somewhere greater than they’d have been without her? Yes, she did, and she does.
The left does not celebrate this like the generations of Americans that preceded us -- THEY DESPISE IT! THEY SEEK TO DESTROY IT! They see virtue as vice. They hate the good for being good. Sound crazy? That’s because it is.
The left does not look up for a sense of power and confidence. THEY LOOK DOWN!
Don't believe it? Try proclaiming your love of a moral life around a leftist. Try expressing your love of the ideas that the Founding Fathers set down, then brought into fruition. Try to share with them your desire to celebrate your success, or even the success of someone else.
At best, you will observe the leftist’s eyes glaze-over -- he can't relate with exulting, with bliss, with individual achievement.
He's a zero-sum, guy -- with your every success you, by default, deny someone else's. With every cent earned you would deny that cent to someone less fortunate.
There is only one all too small pie and your piece is FAR TOO BIG!
He cannot fathom that wealth is CREATED – it’s only stolen.
One thing we know about leftists – THEIR POWER COMES DIRECTLY FROM YOUR LABOR AND SACRIFICE. They create NOTHING. Without someone’s labor to feed upon they would die off.
“Well then how have they survived the centuries?”
The most successful creature on our planet is the parasite.
To live under their rule is to live as some kind of human ATM of sacrifice. They will never stop eating away at you. There will never be enough to make life “safe” for a human being. There will always be some “great cause” and “reason” to force sacrifice upon you.
It’s been tried, It’s been tested, It failed – millions died.
Is this what Obama and the leftist’s want – you bet they do.
Americans have never known rule by leftists. There have always been safeguards (individual men who WOULD NOT STAND FOR IT) in place to prevent their rise to power.
Until now.
With the passing of the WWII generation goes a real understanding of what is at stake, of clear direction and confidence. Perhaps we have grown spoiled. Perhaps we take far too much for granted. Perhaps the members of greatest generation were not the greatest teachers.
In any case, I believe there are knowledge gaps that could serve to undermine our freedom, possibly forever.
This, plus the success of the government in convincing us that we serve them and not vice-versa, has resulted in a passivity that is strikingly similar to that which was observed in 1930’s Germany when Hitler rose to power.
“Who cares if they put up the surveillance cameras, check our email, tap our phones, ask for ID, swab our mouths and setup random check points – if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about.”
“What’s the problem with a strip-search at the airport? Better safe than sorry.”
“Don’t worry, ma’am, the full-body X-Ray screening machine will be used on a strictly voluntary basis. And, trust us, we cannot see under your clothes.”
It’s stunning when you consider how far we have come in this regard.
It’s time to fight, people. Each one of us must fight for our own sake and for our loved-ones.
They are relentless, the left – IT’S MUCH EASIER TO TEAR-DOWN than to build up, or stay the difficult course of self-governance.
But stay the course we must.
Please fight to keep the leftists out of the White House.
Fight, fight, fight!
Yes--the sacrifice of us and the US on the altar of their greed and push for power.
This is my frustration with McCain. He cannot seem to grasp the fact of liberal Dems as THE ENEMY, as Marxists. And when he speaks of bipartisanship, he means compromise. When the lib Dems speak of bipartisanship, they mean doing it their way
