I appreciate your candid post. You are the first freeper who has stated unequivocally that saving McCain is not worth this lousy legislation.

That said, I hope you are right that we can survive a BO presidency, because he is rising quickly in the polls on this issue and may command tremendous congressional majorities.

We are the ‘in’ party and going to get pounded if McCain doesn’t wake up and quickly. I have zero confidence that he understands the political dimensions of this matter.

Just remember, to a McCainiac, adhering to your principles and standing strong for freedom and for the Constitution (against Socialist takeover attempts like today's bailout bill) is considered "extremist" and "purist."
