And ask for that Paulson’s resignation—not Chris Cox.
Dick Morris is a hack who loves to think he is some smart political guy...
you know...McCain can't win with you people...he stops what he is doing and goes to Washington and tries to get the bill right, and he is crucified more than bamey who is off excercizing in a gym....
a Pox on all your houses if each and everyone of us doen't stop the constant troll nonsense....
it was reported her supported the House GOP.
Um, it was the Japanese that bombed Pearl Harbor, but I agree with your point.
To quote FReeper ‘SampleMan”
“Pull yourself together, youre scaring the women.”
((SampleMan, that line had me laughing 1/2 the day. Thanks))
If they (Republicans-McCain) aren’t going to support the bill, then they really do need to explain why. Otherwise, they are just seen as obstructionists.
We're not going to die, frankly, after the market drops another 20% or so, we have great buying opportunities. Don't buy into this "sky is falling" BS. It plays straight into the dem/commies plans.
The soundbites played by Sean Hannity on his show today are damning evidence of Democrats blocking reform of Fannie Mae all along the way. Even had one of Schumer, I think, calling the whole effort by Republican Senators as "a public lynching of Frank Raines."
On that note, heres something interesing I found about Frank Raines. I think this was just back in April.
THIS IS A HUGE SCANDAL PEOPLE! IT WILL DESTROY DNC!
Sorry about the caps!
I agree with you. I have been on a tear all evening about how fed up I am with being nice and how it gets us nowhere. Ever.
Be truthful. If it hurts, it just hurts. Stop being weenies!
I love all you arm chair campaign managers! He has more than 48 hours, I admit he needs to get moving but believe me it can change in a heartbeat. My husband has worked as a republican campaign manager/strategist and I have seen things pulled out at the wire when it looked the bleakest-—don’t give up-—the polls change back and forth, always have an always will...no one can predict what each day will bring. Don’t let the polls get you down and start doubting that is why they are published, to sway public opinion-—think like a winner not a loser. The only loser is Obama—let’s keep it that way!
Yes! McCain needs to step up, acknowledge that the American people have spoken through their elected representatives to reject this deal, and propose the broad principles of a free market solution of his own. And then run on those principles all the way to the election.
At the same time, hit Obama hard on his ties to FannoeMaeFreddieMac and how the Dems used those companies to line their campaign coffers.
McCain is the “reform candidate”. Here is his moment to reform something BIG! And start leading, not reacting!
“I think that FR has 48 hours to stop these stupid vanity postings.”
As Jimmy Durante used to say, “Everybody’s wants to get inta the act!”
He's already on record supporting the bail-out plan. This is the kind of huge, comprehensive, solve-that-domestic-problem legislative effort that McCain favors, like campaign-finance reform or immigration reform.
Senator McCain has many admirable qualities but he is disconcertingly comfortable with big-government solutions.
I sent the McCain camp an email that said if they wanted anymore of my money, they’d cut all this bi-partisan crap and start fighting back. I said that if John McCain thinks that being Ms. Congeniality will convince the Democrats and the liberal media to just give him the White House, he truly is senile.
McCain had a golden opportunity. He charged to Washington, but instead of backing the conservative approach, he promptly joined hands with Pelosi and got kicked in the teeth for his trouble. He is letting Obama win by default.
I agree, his best chance now is to say, The people have spoken and we need to go with the conservative “non-bail out” insurance based approach and then he needs to actually watch the “burning down the house” video, since to hear him talk you would never know he was trying to reform this mess three years ago and that the democrats who created the monster blocked him at every turn.
Golden opportunity and Mr. Milktoast is blowing it.
Well said!!!! Ignore the defeatists-—no room for them here-—go to the DU if you can’t stand the ups and downs of a campaign.
Nevermind, he’s on a roll.
It ain’t over til we say its over!
Pray for W, Gov Palin and Our Troops
