When are we going to be allowed to blame Rush for Obama?
Sept. 28, 2008 | Hildy

Posted on 09/28/2008 8:13:14 PM PDT by Hildy

Up until today I was sure that McCain would win..and I've always thought he'd win by alot. I didn't take into account just how unfair the press was going to be. It's a never ending drumbeat, like the article that was posted last week. It's unrelenting..and it's always negative towards McCain and positive towards the "ONE." But it looks like it's working and we might have a President BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. I'm glad my Father is not alive to see this.

We need big prayers, people..I don't know what it's going to take. I can't believe people think the Dems will be better for the economy.

We allowed the press do beat up Bush so badly that he's just a shell of a President. Some of it was deserved, but the level of it was not. And we just let it happen.

For the first time in years, I am depressed about the future.

For the sake of the country, I believe Hillary would have been a better President. Like Rush, I thought Obama was unelectable. I'm just numb right now to think that my beloved country is SO DAMN STUPID.

PC. We’re not allowed to hold blacks accountable for anything. It’s racist. We’re not allowed to hold women accountable for anything anymore either. It’s sexist. The list goes on.

Miss Didi is absolutely right. These polls are meant to depress us and suppress us.

I started down that slope earlier tonight, and was close to tears, begging God to PLEASE stop this marxist from winning. I immediately rebuked myself for telling God what to do, and just asked for that peace that passes all understanding. I walkied away from the computer for a little while and watched some Disney channel with my kids.

When I came back to the computer (I know, I can’t stay away!) I googled Phil Berg (the lawyer suing Obama and the DNC) and ended up at Larry Johnson’s “No Quarter” blog. They cannot stand Obama and are proudly voting McCain/Palin and telling all their friends and relatives to do the same. They are educating the liberals in their lives—from the prospective of a liberal, having voted democrat their entire life! This is word-of-mouth that is worth MUCH more than an opininion poll.

I feel much better now. And even IF (and I maintain this is a BIG IF) Obama were to win, I am at least comforted that God is in control. I know I will have to keep reminding myself of that over the next few weeks.

Watching the cruelty that the press has extended to W. Bush has caused me to re-think about the most important trait that a President should possess. It is the ability to still continue to do what is right while knowing that people hate you. I don't think that any President (other than Lincoln) has had to endure the indignity that Bush has had to suffer. Perhaps Nixon, but so much of his was created by his own demons. Lincoln, too, had half of the country hating him but he continued to do what he thought was right, and continued to his death to grow in his vision of what was right and wrong. George W. Bush did not start off as a nation-builder but ended up being a democracy builder. And, the fact that we have not been attacked for seven years should be a reminder that an adult is in the White House. He's made mistakes, but he's done more right than wrong. He warned us about this potential financial crisis in 2005 (and what mocked accordingly by the likes of fancy-pants Barney Frank) and Bush's clarion call for Social Security reform will come back yet and haunt us.

Obama cannot even admit that he was wrong about the surge. Obama thinks that he is NEVER wrong. The smiling joy that he showed on Friday's debate when he said, "When I'm President" reminded me of kids being "King of the Hill." Does he have the character, moral fortitude and plain-old relationship with God that would sustain him through the kind of rejection that Bush has endured? Would he break psychologically and do really dumb(er) stuff or could he hold it together with the same poise that has been shown by Bush 42

Guess it's a moot point--the press would never crucify Obama the way it has Bush. Bush has relived the Passion Week every week but for Obama, everyday would be Palm Sunday.

Obama is going to lose.

I think even Obama knows it.  Look how angry he has become.  That is not the face of a confident man.  McCain and Palin are steady, smiling and upbeat, they know what the internals show.

I understand exactly how you feel. The media drives me nuts. That is why we need this forum to help keep us sane.

I haven’t been posting for long, but I have lurked for years. This place is like a friend at the end of a long day.

Keep your chin up and “Be not afraid.”

Let me add my voice to the chorus pointing out that Operation Chaos did everything it could to prop up Hillary against Obama.

As for the “half the country is stupid” - well, half the country IS stupid. Drop dead, shouldn’t-be-allowed-to-drive much less vote stupid. Anyone who would vote for a Democrat IS, be definition, as dumb as a broken brick, because they don’t seem to realize the country they want to see destroyed just happens to be the one they’re living in.

The stupid half, after all, came within a hair of electing that alpha-male moron Algore, and that complete and utter ego-centric a$$hole John F. Kerry.

On the bright side (such as it is) the press is doing EVERYTHING it possibly can to smear us, depress us, defame us... you name it, while spinning a 24/7 cycle of positive spin about their beloved Messiah, Obama (who is just as stupid as the rest of his ilk, only semi-well coached on how to lie enough to most people won’t catch on).

Okay. You want an example? Here’s an example.

A friend of mine asked his liberal relatives who they were voting for. Naturally, they all said Obama. He then asked them who they would vote for if Obama was running as a Republican and John McCain was running as a Democrat and they said... John McCain.

So, evidently, what the candidate believes is of no importance whatsoever to these idiots. They’re democrat. They’ll vote democrat. End of story - no logic or reality involved.

Have you been listening to Rush? Come on, give Rush a break.

If McCain loses, he only has himself to blame, because there's only ONE reason why he loses:

He is putting bi-partisan above conservative principles.

If John McCain had listened to Rush advice, this election would be another Reagan-type landslide.

Operation Chaos was about extending the time of division within the Democrat party by conservatives helping HILLARY by voting for her! We helped Hillary, not Obama! And it worked! Hillary hung around for a few more weeks than she would have otherwise. And now, both Bill and Hillary are obviously working to undermine Obama. Rush is a Genius!

The press/media have reached the point of Soviet style 60s propaganda. If Obama wins we will see a lot more of it to the point of and end to opposing thought .Just watch , the fairness doctrine will be passed in a week .

Hillary would have done the same thing just not as blatantly.

Moderate dems in places like PA and FL and OH will vote for McCain...they won’t tell anyone, but they will vote for McCain.

Thank you. I need all the support I can get tonight. I’m the one my not so political friends come to for the 911. I’ve been upbeat and full of pep...until tonight when I just crashed...So I turned to FreeRepublic for a jolt of “reality.” (I put it in quotes because I am not sure if our reality is really reality.”) But I respect everyone here, so I just sent for it!

My whole take on Rush was he preferred Hill also, wasn’t that his whole point in urging people to cross over and vote for her? Operation Chaos? It almost worked. I thought Hill would be better a better prez than Bambi.

There was a Bambi rally in this one red light town (one red light town since the 50s or 60s). I saw a sign today, don’t know the turn out, but bizarre. The dems are truly running a gas roots campaign.

You need to work on your level of comprehension. Go back and listen to the podcasts from Rush re: Operation Chaos - or just review the many posts above where it has been explained.

You’ve had your 15 minutes...Time for bed.

The press has always been biased, leftist/liberal leaning. They’re just blatant about it now and it’s turning off tons of people.
