Senator McCain went into my wife's office about 8 years ago and saw the picture of me in my dress greens hanging on her wall. He walked over and looked at my picture for a bit, picked up a pad and wrote out a note thanking me for my service to our country. He then asked my wife to give it to me. Nobody asked him to do that. The DUmmies need to lay off the drugs. Senator McCain never "always voted against them."

Yes, they are, but I'm really surprised at their morose tone.

For a lightweight, with virtually NO executive experience, I thought their guy did pretty well. AND without a teleprompter!

I suppose that because my informed opinion of Barry is so low, I had a more favorable opinion of his performance tonight. I expected far less from him.

So, I can deduce from the DUmmie's reactions, just what they think of him. Now, that is a sad deduction.

Obama exposed as novice and fake in this debate, clearly out of his league. If Gov. Palin have given a performance like that against uber-Senator Joe Biden the media would be having a field day. Think about it. If she did any of the following she'd be lambasted by the media and the lefties would be running continuous clips of: - Calling her opponent by his first name (is she flirting? does she think this is Wasilla?) - Saying she agrees so much with her opponent (she's out of her league. maybe she doesn't realize which ticket she's on?) - Forgetting a dead serviceman that you claim his mother told you to never forget (a clip of that would be put up by Axeldud's astroturfing minions on YouTube within seconds.) I thought McCain held his own in this debate, did what he needed to do, and that Obama looked good enough that it wouldn't really hurt him. But on second thought, I think this debate will ding Obama. He seemed weak. A novice. Too fake. This debate did not answer the basic question of this campaign: who is Barack Obama?

They seem to have gotten over it. Looking over all the posts afterwards(Du and Huffington post), they seem to think that Obama won. (And McCain didn’t look him in the eyes at all). Or at least that seems to be the most ordinary response.

While the DUmmies are all in a high hover tizz over how poorly their candidate did last night, the Republican reaction to McCain’s performance couldn’t seem to be more solid.

Last night Dick Morris was fuming afterwards because McCain did not go in for the kill on the bailout plan. However, there will be time to do that and both candidates may have agreed not to address that too much in public while the deal was still in the works.

Other than Morris, who nevertheless said that McCain won on points, most of us think McCain’s performance was a job well done.

The contrast between that reaction and the DUmmie’s is very telling.
