I've been listening to the talking heads, all saying what they thought were going to be the take away comments from the debate, but not one mentioned the two that caught my attention the most.
The first one, was Obama agreeing matter of factly, that we sould be drilling our own oil, even though he's still spouting that old and disproved line that the US only has 3% of the worlds oil supply...
But what really made my eyebrows go up, was when Obama stated as a given, that we are going to have to build a lot more nuclear plants!!!
(snicker) Pelosi and the rest of the ecoTard luddites are going to be waiting for him with pitchforks and torches for that line. They want us all living like Baracks brother..those are the kinds of familial expectations the Dims have for us in the US.
Mud huts and a dollar a week, for us all...except for them...
Unfortunately, I was unable to watch the debate. Did Obama really have to look at the bracelet to remember the name on it? I've seen that mentioned in a post on one of the debate threads but I find that very hard to believe. Could it possibly (hopefully) be true?
‘tactic’
I risk my like going into Anbar and you call it a ‘tactic’ I think about coming to the US and making sure you you never get a chance to defame my fellow members of the military again.
A great SNL skit that would sum up the debate would have John McCain speaking intelligent wisdom and 0 saying, “Um...Yeah, what he said.”
He’d better run some agressive ads on it tomorrow and speak at every opportunity about it. Time is running out.
McCain did very well throughout the debate, imho. He came across as far more experienced.
Gently, gently...especially if you’re in your utilities. >Bo)
McCain’s closing lines made me say Bingo.
When McCain said something to the effect that he wasn’t going to set his head of state dinner party table until he became president. I thought that was funny.Did anyone catch the exact wording?
“The other thing that struck me was the petulance Obama showed in interrupting, smirking, making comments under his breath, etc.”
—yes - i can’t believe none of the talking heads mentioned this. it was very annoying and reminded me of Gore.
Well, your wishes have come true, on this one.
I just watched the TV with a blank stare and said, HUH?
What the hell did he just say? It was great
I agree. In my mind McCain clearly did much better than Obama. But Obama, for the questions and interactions, did better than I thought he would have done. My he sure did hawk up, didn’t he? :o) I’ll bet a few of his more left wing nutcase ealy supporters, are going to be spitting mad at the Huff&Puff, DailyDross, and the DUdu, for the next few days. >BoD
“I got a bracelet too”
LOLOLOL!!!
Very cute. I wish I had some cookies now.
I think I am going to make my Grandma’s ginger cream cookies this weekend.

Sen. McCain’s comment to the effect that HE didn’t have a Presidential seal yet was a hoot!
When Obama smirked and made faces, I was embarrassed for him. It was so juvenile and made his face look twisted.
I have to say looking in to the face of Obama...I am thinking those are mean eyes!
