Great thread guys. Thanks for your participation. There were three debate threads.
I am going to invite all of my liberal book club friends over to watch the VP debate!
Should be interesting...
I think McCAin killed. Obama seemed a little more confident at the start and McCain seemed shaky but by the third question McCain really moved out front and stayed there.
“HUBRIS” - yes! Describes Obama perfectly, even though Charlie Gibson tried to paint Sarah Palin with it.
McCain is correct about the strategy needed in Pakistan.
Hopefully, many more will agree with us!
Did I just see on Fox a supposedly independent woman of a “dial group” say that she now favors Obama because he did not stutter and that McCain did?
Yikes
Stupid is as stu....
LOL. Very good.
that focus group is fake.........obama stuttered a LOT, was she in the powder room?
The boy referred to Sen McCain as “John” while Sen McCain referred to the boy as Sen Obama.
The the boy called Sen McCain: “Tom” and even “Jim”.
The boy said the China just launched into space and that we need to catch up.
The boy told Pakistan he wants to attack them.
Excellent. I noticed McCain is polling 71% to 27% with just over 81,000 voting in Drudge’s poll.
Obama won on the economic side because neither of them know crap about economics, and in such instances the round goes to the guy who thinks he knows more.
How can anyone seriously think “deregulation” made lending go wild? This crisis is a monetary phenomenon, and monetary phenomena are firmly in the clenches of the federal government.
Good point! :-)
But I just wanted to see all the eye contacts and things like that more clearly!
No problem. I have made the same mistake in the past.

Firmly in the clutches of a government that told them to they had to give money to people who couldn't pay it back but not to worry about it. Uncle Sugar would would take care of it.
One of the places I was hoping McCain would hit on was when Obama said that 6 years ago he opposed the war in Iraq blah blah blah and I wish McCain would have came back with “6 years ago, Sen Obama was barely in his 1st term as a state senator so his opinion on US gov matters didn’t mean anything.”
