But we do have a civil war of sorts every 4 years.

Please clarify what you expect there to be a civil war over? If it’s over the size and scope of government then I’ll side with the fiscal conservatives and I would say that Bush and his administration are on the wrong side of history.
So this “bailout” would be $700B and would come back 2-fold back to the Treasury. Where was 1/2 the outrage when a $350B farm bill was sent sailing through??? And none of that is coming back to the Treasury.
It is about time we march on DC. But who will lead? how do we organize? Where do we go?
