Clare says they have a little alligator in the canal that runs along the back side of Ave Maria. It's a man made drainage run-off canal with high concrete banks, so they aren't worried about him climbing up, and onto the campus.

A gator found like that in the middle of a city ALWAYS ends up on a restaurant’s menu and/or some nice leather products.
