Actually, I wish every state would stop the cell phone users while driving. I damned near got run over the other day by some lady who was looking down, fiddling with her damned cell phone, and nearly ran the red light. Barely stopping, wheels screaming, at the last mil-la second.

He signed legislation banning drivers from sending, writing or reading messages on electronic devices starting in January.Remember what was it, the '84 Corvette? Had that gaudy arcade-game instrument panel? Yeah, that needed banning. This is important legislation.

This bill was passed before the train wreck and has no connection to it. When they passed they hands free law earlier this it was noticed that it did not include text messaging.

If we let them ban text-messaging while driving, then they'll want to ban eating while driving.

Ok, what's more distracting: talking on a cell phone or even texting or a screaming baby in a car seat in the back where you cannot even reach them to given them a pacifier or bottle.

I used to think it was idiotic when I saw some areas ban cell phone usage while driving, but I’ve changed my mind. In the previous month, I’ve almost been t-boned by someone running a red light yapping away on a cell phone and followed a car where a dweeb was straddling the center line on a two lane highway texting someone..55 mph speed limit and he was doing 40. Its gotten ridiculous and becoming worse as each day goes by.
