Those kind of pranks really work - just as long as you don't get caught...

What, did the kid pee into water? Amateur. Pee into coffee.

Isn’t a felony a bit extreme?

I always loved pranks but these are more like assaults. Throw the book at him.

A “practical joker” deserves applause for his wit
according to its quality.
Bastinado is about right.
For exceptional wit one might grant keelhauling.
But staking him out on an anthill should be reserved
for the very wittiest.

I have found myself supporting the kids in 99% of the administrator/student battles.
But in this case, it should indeed be a felony.

aggravated assault and/or battery, arson, burglary, illegal drug abuse/sales, embezzlement, grand theft, treason, espionage, racketeering, robbery, murder, rape, kidnapping and fraud.
Those are usually considered felonies, he didn’t actually finish with the prank and she caught him before hand. Besides only a complete idiot leaves an openable drink around eighth graders.

We have Democrats screwing us over with the mortgage crisis and they skate. But when a kid plays a prank, they want to charge him with a felony???? Only in America. I hope the teacher was the union representative. It would serve her right.
