Not a Lions fan but I'd have to say it's about time considering how just a decade ago they could make the playoffs, where as the entire franchise has since collapsed.

I bet he is relieved to leave Detroit. Not all players make good coaches and managers. He was a good LB.

I think he actually managed the team while living in Pennsylvania for a period of time.

Note to Ford: Hire a real GM, change the uniforms, and get rid of Jon Kitna.

The Detroit Lions are not a football team, they are like rodeo clowns in that they keep crowds laughing at their slapstick humor while at the same time taking horn shots up the arse to protect the REAL players in the game.

I used to live and die by how the Vikings fared. Bud Grant used to have a saying: It's not the end of the world. It's just a football game.

I stopped caring about NFL football when the Vikings started studying the parolee lists for their draft choices.

These days there are true serious issues to worry the calm soul. I can't get too worked up by what steps any NFL team takes...or any major league team for that matter. It just doesn't make that much difference in the grand scheme of things.

This should have happened a long time ago.

Maybe if they brought Rodney Peete back, everything would be OK. :P
