She's loosened up a little bit on that the last few years. If you think about it what does it matter now? Forty years after the show ended people still enjoy watching it so they must have done something right.
Yes, it might not be realistic, but like most shows back then (Leave it to Beaver, My Three Sons and even up to the mid 80s (Mary Tyler Moore, 8 is enough) and the 90s (Home Improvement, Growing Pains, Walker, Texas Ranger) they had nice shows, even some shows today (Simpsons, King of the Hill, CSI, NCSI) are good shows, but there is more JUNK on TV then good stuff.
I can still watch that show & laugh, laugh, laugh. I think it was the characters -- they were so vivid. The show had an innocent silliness, yet was sophisticated in a weird way.
