I've been asked to start you this week...those who normally do this..... can't...so you got me. I haven't even looked at the news ...but my coffee is very good this morning....so get a cup and lets get this show rolling.
lysie!! You are over working!!! (((lysie)))
Good Morning Kassie, I hope each day brings you a bit of improvement. Be patient, we don’t heal as quickly as we used to, you know! :>(
Good Morning. I am anxious to hear how you are doing. We know you’re here, but we don’t know how much pain you’re ignoring in order to be here.
Tell all. Those of us who have this surgery ahead of us need to learn from you.
(and I just have to say,,, for someone who’s just had surgery you can really whip up a fantastic breakfast)
That Pioneer Woman website is interesting, I’ve bookmarked it. I especially like the cooking preparation photography that she includes with her recipes. Easy to see how she does that when you click on her photography section.
Thanks for the link IG. She’s funny too.
Yes she IS funny. Did you see the explaination as to why her pastry blender is bent and crooked? Her boys were using it as a weapon!!
Wishing you SAFE TRAVELS today!!!
I can be patient, but sadly the world around me is still moving at break neck speed. I was doing laundry yesterday and got distracted, went into the dining room and found my entire downstairs FLOODED. I can’t get my foot wet, so I hopped to the washer and turned it off and the water just kept on coming in. So I hobbled outside and it was running out the garage too. I called Hubby (he’s broken down but managed to make it to Liberal, KS) and he told me to turn it off outside. But it was old and I couldn’t budge it. My son-in-law just happened to see me trying to run and he came running. (Son takes Calculus at the community college on Mon. and he was gone.)My sil got the water turned off. Long, long story short, all my flooring downstairs is ruined! All the things stored under my stairs is now in my living room. And the insurance adjuster comes in an hour and here I sit on the couch. Hubby told me to call a restoration company. They showed up and swarmed me like a school of sharks. Instantly wanted me to sign their contract before I had an estimate. Got an attitude when I refused. But their estimator did show up and he gave me an estimate. It was quite an eventful day. My foot held up well. Just got a little swollen by bed time. Never a dull moment.
No way! You got breakfast on the table.
You are THE Woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Are you having a lot of pain?
Oh, kassie........That’s awful! You poor thing!
Wish I lived closer so that I could help you.
I’m up north..........Will be here a while. Hubby is going through some radiation treatments for prostate cancer.....
Prognosis is very good, but prayers are always appreciated.
Oh, lordy, kassie! As if you didn't have enough to contend with, you've got THIS. ((((kassie)))))
(Once, at about 11 o'clock one night, my washing machine was also over running and the water valve was stuck or something, and I couldn't turn the water off.
I called my daughter and SIL who lived at the time 7 miles away, and their phone was turned off!
In desperation, I called 911, and operator said, "Don't worry, Honey. We'll get you some help right away."
The volunteer fire department guys showed up and turned it off for me. I LOVE those guys! A firetruck and 4 cars of volunteers had shown up for me. At their next meeting at the fire dept. I took them dessert to show my appreciation.)
LBKQ, you've got my prayers for your husband. Radiation is crucial...my son had it after his operation for prostate cancer, and now, his health is excellent!
Good Morning IG, 2/3s and Everyone. My fingers are not operating right this am, seems they have a mind of their own.
How are you, young lady? For someone who just had a new hip put in, you are a marvel to set such a fine table and put breakfast out for us.
What a traumatic time you suffered. Hopefully today will be “less exciting”. Take care of that foot.
Oh I’m so sorry... I didn’t know. Holding you all close in my prayers.
Adjuster is here right now.
Oh bless your heart! Hard times make us stronger... or so they say.
How ya doing today sweetie?
My GOSH! What an eventful day yesterday!!
People with attitude generally are shown the door quickly at my house,,, but if I’d been in your predicament, I’d have probably overlooked it in order to get the estimate for restoration, too.
Good Grief! Some days we are the pidgeons,, other days we are the statues. Yesterday was most definitely a Statue Say for you!
I don’t think I knew about your hubby’s diagnosis! Sending good thoughts for a successful outcome.
Those treatments really work, these days. There are legions of survivors leading normal lives out there today to prove it!
Be strong, this, too, shall pass!! ((LBKQ))
Thank you for the good thoughts and prayers.
I hadn’t shared any of this previously. Hubby had surgery almost a year ago and entire prostate was removed, but evidently something is still there. Docs have every confidence that this can be cured totally, and we have a lot of faith. Just hate to see him having to go through all this!
Meanwhile, I had a physical yesterday and my BP was high, so I’m about to join the ranks of prescription pill container users. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...........
