I probably have it worse due to travel stress and working in conditions masking some of the symptoms -- I might have detected the fever if I hadn't been working in a drafty cold hotel ballroom (they didn't have "demand-controlled ventilation" and their temperature controls weren't working well -- this is not unusual, btw, and a big waste of energy), and sleeping in a room that wouldn't get cool enough (also not unusual).
I ignored the occasional aches and hypersensitivity to food Tuesday on -- the cough alone would be enough to trigger the gag reflex.
Interestingly, there was a study mentioned in a seminar in the conference a couple weeks ago that shows that our climate is really not that soggy. FAR less than the midwest, northwest or south in the summer. And even when it is quite damp outside (like now) the dewpoint is such that it's quite pleasant inside.
Very interesting. I hope you both feel better soon. For future benefit, I read recently that you are most likely to acquire a viral infection if you touch your *eyes* after touching a source of infection.
I coulda tolja that.
