I've been searching for Gawkers advertisers?
It looks like Gawker shows their advertisers on their own page.
On their page they show their advertisers to be
American Express, Chelsea Art Museum, Crunch, Hotflops, MINI, Mother on Fire, Sobieski, Starwood Hotels, Stolichnaya, T-Mobile, Unscrew America, and Sony VAIO.
American Express, Chelsea Art Museum, Choke (Fox Searchlight), Cringe (Crown Publishing), Hotflops, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People (Paramount), Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, MINI, New Kids on the Block, Sobieski, Starwood Hotels, Stolichnaya, T-Mobile, and Unscrew America. They're the best! You should advertise too!
I don’t think Gawker was behind to hack - they’re just profiting from it.
So is it Gawker the one who will be sued???
No, the advertisers didn't. But when they realize what this site did, the revenue stream will dry up. If you click the link at the top of the page, one of the first thing's you'll see is "Our Advertisers Know what the Bush Doctrine Is."
Pretty telling, since Karl Rove himself doesn't know specifically what the Bush Doctrine is.
The hackers gave their results to Gawker.. who then put it on their website.
Well they should be included in the investigation by profiting from the hack ... any idea of who it was that did the hack???
Gawker’s owners should be subpoened.. and forced to reveal the names of the hackers.
The hackers should be frogmarched.
I’m wondering when the MSM will start to reveal what’s in those emails - and like Daily KOS making up stories of what’s in them ... the MSM slime is just salivating for copies ..... this will push them over the edge by the rest of America ....

Look for Good Morning America to start speculating on whats in them tomorrow morning lol.
They will speculate with absolutely no evidence of whats in them.
Eventually someone will release copies unless some sort of government intervention will prevent it. Maybe those people who hacked her emails are now scared .... hopefully there’s a run on Pampers at the local WalMart .....
The story behind the Palin e-mail hacking (Uncovered: who was responsible-graphic language warning)
SO what?
I hope the law includes the notion of accessory after the fact but I’m concerned that simply publishing private information may not be illegal. Bartnicki v. Vopper (USSC) stands for the proposition that a media source merely publishing even stolen information is not subject to sanctions. Unless this bunch had a hand in the theft they would likely get off scot free.
I agree - by participating, Gawker should have to answer for their actions. Apparently the AP has also refused to cooperate and turn over what they have to the Secret Service.
This one article is the only thing I've seen which discusses tracking down whoever actually broke into the account.
No "what" - just just commenting on the question of whether or not Gawker actually broke in themselves.
"A memo today from Gawker Media honcho Nick Denton announces that he is laying of 19 of [sic] his 133 editorial positions and also suspending bonus payments, of which he forks over $50,000 a month. He notes also that advertising is up 30% over a year ago.""Sure, the company is currently profitable and advertising sales are up by about 30% on their level of a year ago...The one consolation is that there will be plenty of news for us to break --starting with this email, which you are free to leak."
