I was hoping that Ned Yost would be fired at noon today. He wasn’t and the Brewer tailspin will continue...Ned Yost’s Brewers refining the art of the second half collapse!

The Giants are gunning for second place! :-)
In other news, I’m LOVING watching Tim Lincecum pitch this season - 17-3, just threw a CG shutout, and leads in shutouts and ERA.
And Pablo Sandoval is a BUNCH of fun to watch.
GO RED SOX!
But my team:
Go Halos!
I think this is the second year that Brewers has collapse.. First from the NL Central and now possibly from the wildcard..
If yost isn’t gone from this team (wildcard or not) after this season the brewers will not be getting a season ticket renewal for next year from me...never been more disheartened in a team.
who knows, maybe they’ll get second place (Giants)!
I’m a Red Sox fan from Boston area; this yr I went to two
stadia new to me, Oakland Col. (A’s lost to KC) and AT&T
Park (Giants lost to Ariz). Also saw Giants beat Indians
at Cleveland and went to minor leagues games in Akron OH
(Aeros—AA), Burlington VT (Lake Monsters-A) and Manchester
NH (Fisher Cats-AA)
On my San Francisco trip there was one day, a Friday,
when a friend and I were due to attend the Gilroy Garlic
festival, then go back to SF for the game. I was told
the park would not be as cold as Candlestick was/is so
I figured I wouldn’t bring a coat. Well, it was 90 or so
in Gilroy but I froze at AT&T park!
Cubs-Astros drew more than 23,000 with less than 24 hours notice. It’s better than playing in an empty Tropicana Field.
It wasn’t really fair to the Astros, but they got the ticket revenue.
As for the Brewers — Their next promotion will be a Dr. Henry Heimlich bobblehead.
Try a full season collapse...like the Detroit Tigers : (
$150 million dollar cluster #&@*
Their pitching staff would be comical...if it weren't so pathetic.
GO RAYS !!!... :-) ...It’s going to be a fun few days...
Best part of the season is still ahead!
Rays have been tough this year, i’ll say they’ve earned it. I still hope the Sox take the pennant. We’ll see!
ned yost just fired.
Just heard Ned Yost has been fired. Dale Sveum will be interim coach.
Desperation? Yes. Will it work? Doubtful. Sometimes change has to be made for the sake of change. I am happier they did it now.
Let the fun begin.
Interesting that they put Sveum in as interim rather than Simmons. The club reassigned Simmons when they fired Yost.
Things must have gotten really ugly in the clubhouse to prompt this move two weeks before the end of the season. They sure were ugly on the field in the past couple weeks.
Simmons only came in on Yost’s request. He never would take interim due to loyalty to him. I wonder if an injured Gabe Kapler now takes over 3rd base coach???
I think the players had shut yost out.
NOt pitching CC on 4 days rest yesterday against a lefty heavy team set the tone...
