Did ya' hear the one about... A crusty old Marine Sgt. Major found himself at a gala event hosted by a local libeal arts college.
There was no shortage of extremely young and idealistic ladies in attendance, one of whom approached the Sgt. Major for conversation.
"Excuse me, Sgt. Major, but you seem to be a very serious man. Is something bothering you?"
"Negative, ma'am. Just serious by nature."
The young lady looked at his awards and decorations and said "It looks like you have seen a lot of action."
"Yes ma'am. A lot of action"
The young lady, tiring of trying to start up a conversation, said "You know, you should lighten up a little. Relax and enjoy yourself".
The Sgt. Major just stared in his serious manner.
Finally, the young lady said, "You know, I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but when was the last time you had sex?"
"1955 ma'am"
"Well, there your are ! No wonder you are so serious. You really need to chill out !! I mean, no sex since 1955 !" She took his hand and led him to a private room where she proceeded to "relax" him several times.
Afterwards, pausing for breath, she leaned against his bare chest and said, "Wow, you sure didn't forget much since 1955 !"
The Sgt. Major said in his serious voice, after glanicng at his watch, "I hope not; it's only 2130 now"

In our Gold Star parents section over at marineparents.com, we have a “Marine walks into a bar” thread. Yeah, even us sad-sacks need a little humor. That joke is the one that started the thread.
Anyway:
At the end of the night a Marine leaves a bar.
Outside he sees a nun. He walks over to her and slaps her in the face. Then he punches her in the stomach and knocks her over.
He proceeds to kick her several times and when he’s done he bends down to her and says, “Not as tough as a Marine, are you Batman?”

The Marine Parents site is wonderful. Many great folks there. The Gold Star area is not publicly accessible. We call it the “club that no one wants to join”, for good reason. Nonetheless, we do prop each other up and manage to get by. Our Gold Star folks talk about things that would make you cry, or make your hair stand on end. I’m sure that shrinks would love to hear what we have to say, but that can’t happen.
