Alright, I have mixed feeling on this one. I loved The Village People's songs when I was an innocent kid; however, when I got older and found out they were gay, I felt weird about it all. I still feel duped. God I hope they never actually stayed at the Y.M.C.A. though.

My favorite Village People character is Ryan Seacrest, but I cannot remember what costume he wears. Ha

I ran a homeless veteran program out of a YMCA once. EVERY resident had a Satanic “Bible” in their room.

Shouldn’t it be on the floor of one of the stalls in the men’s room?

LOL...I was a huge Village People fan when I was 5 years old...Macho Man, In The Navy, YMCA etc...yeah I was a huge fan but I was 5 and had no idea what the hell was going on with what they were talking about.
I remember dragging my mom to see Can’t Stop The Music...the Village People movie with Steve Guttenberg in it.
Good times...give em a star.

I thought anyone could get a start if they paid the fee.

Good for them! They were my first concert in 1979 (I was 11 years old at the time) and it was a lot of fun. And Can't Stop The Music is one of my favorite cheesy guilty pleasures....it's so bad that it's hilarious.

When I was a “youngun” I had no idea Rob Halford of Judas Priest was gay. As far as I know he never tried to push his “life-style” on the general public. Priest still rocks.

You must be a racist. He is all of them.

Wait a minute, are you saying that the Village People were gay?
To: Opinionated Blowhard
I heard rumors, but nothing definitive.

I recently read that not all the members were gay, though some were.

FWIW I hear Steve Guttenberg plays for the other team himself...or at least he switch-hits.

I was sheltered, what can I say?

Ehhh, half the entertainment industry is gay, and 98% of them are empty-headed dingbats I wouldn't allow over the threshold of my house. Don't let that spoil your enjoyment of the trained monkeys. It is what it is.
