An angry Deltona father whacked his teenage daughter's boyfriend with a metal pipe after finding the boy naked in his daughter's room. Authorities say the father, 45, didn't even know his daughter had a boyfriend or that the youngster had been sneaking into the home for more than a year.
When he heard noises coming from his daughter's bedroom Thursday morning and saw a stranger standing naked on the girl's bed, he swung a metal pipe. He then chased the teen out the front door and called police.

Agreed. If this had been a naked intruder we wouldn’t be talking about “aggravated battery” charges. At the time the father saw this dude he had no idea what was going on so he certainly had the right to defend his home and his daughter. The question is whether a reasonable person would conclude that a strange naked man had broken in and was trying to rape his daughter. I say....Damn Right it’s reasonable! If they don’t drop these charges on this guy I will be pissed.

The father was charged with aggravated battery on a child and bonded out on $10,000. Figures. My defense would be that, because I had never seen him before, he was an intruder planning to attack my daughter so I grabbed the closest weapon and had at it.
