They may be locked in with Biden. I believe most state ballots are set.

If that’s true then Obama isn’t quite as smart as thought.

I’m going to say the complete opposite. Obama expected a conventional pick from McCain, so he went with Biden to sure up his credibility on foreign policy. McCain pivots by picking Palin and shifts the campaign to reform.

Obama picked Biden as an empty donkey ploy.

Obama would look like even more of a D-bag than he already does if he flip-flopped on his own VP pick. Since Obama already brought youth, charisma, and a false promise of change to the ticket, he decided to go with a safe pick that brought experience to the ticket (nevermind that it is 30 years experience in being wrong about everything).

Naah. If Hussein is gullible enough to campaign in Berlin and come back to the 57 states’, he won’t have the brain cell to come up with that’ plan.

If 0 has picked Hillary, I don’t believe McCain would have picked Palin, so all I can say on the Biden pick is “Good for you 0...you did the right thing!”

It’s more than that. Obama picked Biden on purpose to lose. He has given poor performance on purpose. He is out there on purpose. He will lose on purpose.

Naw, he picked the village idiot to make himself look more “Presidential”.

Now there are two village idiots on the loose.

Since Obama is all transcendent and everything, he should have done an American Idol style “pick the veep” contest where people are eliminated every week and nobody knows who the Veep will be until the weekend before the election.

I think it’s a huge advantage to pick last - as well as having your convention last.
I have nothing to substantiate this but - I truly believe that Biden was the only one who would agree to run with this bozo.
I don’t think Obama had many to choose from.

As much as he disliked putting Biden on the ticket, he badly needed to pick up the blue collar white male vote, especially in Ohio, Penn, Mich, and Virginia - states that he must win. But with the Palin pick he received a Net Loss in that voting block, and add to that the majority of voting women who are going with Palin/McCain.
The Bidens and the Obama’s don't even look comfortable together. A true odd couple. And with Biden becoming a real embarrassment on the campaign trail, things are getting worse. Ya gotta love it!

OK folks....here is what is going to happen:

Barack Obambi will go through the end of next week, watching his campaign swirl its last ripple in the commode of the Demonratic party - AND THEN - Joe Biden will need to withdraw from the VP slot due to health concerns. Hillary will accept the nomination for VP and Bill Clinton has already been promised a gig heading up the UN.

BUT WAIT! They will quickly find out that many states have already started printing their ballots and are not willing to remove Joe Biden's name.

SO....the Demonrats will take the position of "victims" and begin filing suits all the way up to the Supreme Court - due to the "fact" that they have been "disenfranchised".

You heard it here first... ;-)

Obama isn’t calculating at all. Given all of Obama’s campaign decisions, I think it really shows what an amateur he is.

It’s clear Obama’s strategy is play it safe and keep repeating that McCain=Bush.

Palin undo’s the Bush conenction and McCain has been more daring on the change front.

Obama’s response to that is to attack Palin which has turned off the youth and female vote.

And his hardcore supporters in the left have created huge expectations in the debate but all of us here know he is terrible off the cuff. The great O is about to be seriously deflated once the debates come around.

First, Obama could not pick Hillary, because she did not want the job. She pretended to want the job in order to put Obama in a box and bail herself out of trouble with the netroots, who hated her for running her campaign for so long (and because of her relatively hawkish initial position on the war.) By offering the job, Hillary made Obama look bad with her supporters when he failed to even vet her, thus damaging him even more. It was a double win for her, and a no-win situation for BHO.

Now the choice of Palin has screwed Hillary. She wanted a McCain win, but now if something happens to McCain, a lot of her glitz comes off as the first woman President.

Obama picked Biden because if he loses PA or MI, it's almost impossible for him to win. Hillary still would not take the job if zer0 pulls an Eagleton. So Biden is in to stay, unless he does something really stupid. Look at the picture of zer0 with Bill Clinton today. These two are standing there like two guys who don't even know each other waiting for a bus.

Obama is just second-guessing himself again because, yet AGAIN, he has made the wrong choice when faced with a big decision. He is behaving like a man caught on the ropes.
