An armed Student is a safer and happier student! The Students should conceal and carry their weapons so the Teacher does not have too!

It is better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it!
A thought from “gun free” New York City on the seventh anniversary of 9/11!

I went back to school for my Masters about 8 years ago. I have a CCW, but couldn't carry on days that I had to attend classes. No weapons were allowed on campus, period. You couldn't even have it stowed unloaded in a locking gun safe in your trunk.
During the time I was in school they had a rash of muggings and rapes on the campus. They handed out whistles to students and told them not to travel alone while on campus. We even had police officers taking classes and they couldn't (legally) bring weapons on campus.

My, what a novel definition for partying.

Wow, great post. I actually wish that our college would allow this. We have hunters come on campus two times a year to cull the deer population.. It wouldn’t be much of a jump...

I was reading quickly but did not see the argument that ccw'ers on campus lack the experience needed to respond to a volatile situation effectively without posing more of a danger with their own wildly inaccurate shooting. The obvious counter to this also represents a counter to some of the other arguments: With the number of combat hardened and experienced veterans returning to school on the new GI Bill, a layer of highly trained and experienced citizens represents an additional layer of safety in the classroom. The obvious tired counter argument from the antisis: Yup, they'll snap from Post traumatic Stress Syndrome and become the shooter. Studies show this not to be the case. So we'll trust them to kill the enemy overseas but take away the same implement of destruction stateside? Ridiculous.
