As for multiple targets (perps), holographic sights (and "dot" sights for that matter) are the best thing ever made.

Gonna set up a CAR with an Eotech. Hadn't thought about one on a shotgun. Hmmm...

I don’t think you could go far wrong with an Eotech on top of a CAR. I’ve got a C-More on mine, but I’ve used Eotech and AimPoint and like them both a lot. There’s a huge advantage in being able to SEE the sight PLUS what’s around it...in low light! :-) I’ve got friends who use them on shotguns. I still think it’s an advantage.
