Shepard Smith's lead-in question for second segment of his evening show: "Does Gov. Palin have her own Jeremiah Wright?

About six years ago, the Palins began attending their current church home, Wasilla Bible Church, an independent evangelical congregation of truck drivers, executives and teachers, pastor Larry Kroon said.
It’s a “simple community church,” Kroon said, that is not Pentecostal. Still, Palin has remained close to the Pentecostal community.
Thank you!! Now I’m still not sure what the uproar is all about. I think you have a handle on this - so enlighten me - - what am I missing?
Your not missing anything really. There is nothing here. And even if there was, her church couldn’t be anywhere near as bad as Obama’s former church.
It'll cheer you right up!
I hope this link shows up....
The purposes of the media digging this up, of course, are:
1) to attempt to make US Jews vote for Obama
2) to attempt to convince other voters that Palin attended a church with a wacko minister for several years, and to get the media playing that quote over and over.
Does that exerpt from the sermon sound like something that could offend (non-christian) Jews? Well maybe, especially when quoted out of context. I think it would be less offensive to most Americans than Wright's anti-American rants.
It's possible that Brickner accidentally used the word "judgment" when he intended to say "conflict." See the quote above. In any case, I don't think that Palin believes that terrorist attacks against Israel are instruments of God's will, and she has said she does not believe that.
Dear Presently - that’s a cute screen name. :O) - I read that Gov. Palin and her family started going to the non-denominational church together six years ago. I understand that she and her family of origin had a varied early religious life, having started out as Catholic, then attending Assembly of God when she was growing up, now for the past six years, with husband and children - non-denominational.
Thank you, Twinkie. Now that’s a better name!! Yes - I read that from one of the links. I just wasn’t sure what the problem was - her background in that area is similar to mine - and many other I know. She is growing in The Lord and God has raised her up for such a time as this.
Thanks again!
