I don't like how the height of your eyes affects the picture. You mean that tall eyes see it differently than short eyes? Can Asians even see it at all? After all, it is Japanese? Maybe it is a conspiracy?

These guys are totally nuts. Call me when the price gets to $3500, and I'll get interested again. Guess my old Mitsubishi big-screen CRT set (now 15 years old) will see me through another few years.

In my case, we've been using the same 1982 Zenith since early 1983 when we bought her, I remember watching Reagan's "Evil Empire" speech on it. At the rate I'm going, she is going to have to last for a much longer time. B-)

New technology. Itll drop to where you want it in the next three years or so. The price will come down in about a year. We are selling our video engine chip to Samsung now so they will probably be the next ones out with it...

Unlike the previous technologies Laser is not cost limited to size. The scalers we build into the chip enable just about any “reasonable” size. Look for small versions and much MUCH larger versions in the near future

I am just waiting for the day that televisions are practically a free give away by television providers.
The way modems come with ISP’s, high end TV comes with satelite, cable, and anything else.
Perhaps that “wallpaper TV” will be here soon.

Hmm. I’ve never really noticed it on mine, but I probably sit at the right height. I have noticed it when I’ve stood up and watched. Doesn’t bother me enough to justify paying the extra $. Each to his own I suppose.
