How did you create an icon? I don’t have the first idea of where to start with that.

Ok...when you are looking at the screen when you are typing a response, in the address line there is a Red/Blue background with a white star and then

http://www.freerepublic.com etc

Right click on that star, hold it down, drag it to your desk top and turn loose. You will have an option to: copy here, create shortcut or cancel. Click on create shortcut and SCHAZAAM...you gotta an icon that will take you right to today's postings.

OHMYGOSH! You aren't going to believe it...but I actually figured that out by myself and I AM OLD....I am just thrilled :-)
