Love that cab driver :-) Did you check out that video from Juneau showing Sarah 7 months pregnant?

Yes, although I didn’t need any proof. I was following the controversy last weekend and it was so ridiculous I decided that the liberals had finally got certifiably insane.

She has plenty of enemies in Alaska, and I am sure if she had faked the pregnancy it would have gotten out. That’s not something you can keep a secret. Good grief, they are in a total meltdown!

Nobama has said repeatedly that, in addition to drawing down our military, unilaterally phasing out nukes and concentrating on domestic issues, he intends to 'build a domestic force every bit as powerful as our current military.'

We are trying to figure out what Nobama will do with a domestic force like that, how he will pay for it, and exactly where in the Constitution he is authorized to do so...;-))

True...I was listening to the late night liberals and they truly are in a meltdown. I really chuckle to myself when I hear them talking about how "Sarah Palin has ZERO foreign policy experience" and in the same breath, say how very qualified Osama/bama is!!!!

Denial ain't just a river!!!

It’s amazing that the people who love to call us fascists are untroubled by his apparent desire to form a government subsidized group of brownshirts.

I was just about to say the same thing about the brownshirts! I guess Nobama is waiting for his own version of Ernst Rohm...;-))

Nobama is going to tax the $$$$ out of us to pay for ALL of his bizarre domestic projects....and, Ray Talifery says Obama is going to pay REPARATIONS to all blacks.

Well, darn! OK, you're off the hook...excused....just go! Go have a good time in Europe! So there!:-))

Has anyone else thought of this....or been reminded of this the past few days with the Palin effect??: Remember WFB's old statement, I would rather have in government the first 10 people in the Cambridge phonebook, than 10 Harvard faculty members...or something like that...???

I found this in a Roger Kimball blog:

"In the early 1960s, Bill Buckley famously observed that he would rather be governed by the first two thousand names in the Boston phone book than the two thousand faculty members of Harvard University."

Bit, whenever I think of his “domestic force” equal to our military, I think of the Sudan, Rowanda, Dafur and Zimbawe.
Our constitution protects us with the privelege of owning our own weapons and knowing how to use them. I just wish more law abiding citizens knew how to use and care for weapons

Good afternoon, Everybody, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MISS MARPLE!

I like your attitude about aging, and life IS interesting. My mother, who lived to be 87 1/2 used to tell me to "keep moving!" lol....and that, to my mind, meant not only being active physically but also mentally. ('use it or lose it').

I remember as a child loudly singing w/other children the song, "Brighten the corner where you are" (you certainly DO!)....and even now, I consider that to be a guide for life.

Just some thoughts: 1) Why not have term limits (2) for Congress? Such a change would bring much needed new blood to the body that makes laws that govern all of us.

2)We should not have to pay other people's mortgages, nor pay reparations to people whose ancestors sold them into slavery but who now have the privilege of American citizenship.

3)If this nation is so bad, why are so many people trying to get here, legally or illegally?

I have to disagree with you on the term limits thing.

Having been there, I’ve seen how the paid staff attempts to lead elected officials into making decisions that don’t necessarily reflect the needs of their constituencies.

With new congress critters arriving every few years it would give the staff even more influence and power.

If they want to make the real decisions they should pound the pavement and knock on doors to get themselves elected instead of taking a staff job that pays 3 times what the elected official is paid.

Your very valid remark, IG, based on experience, is something I had not thought through. Thanks for the insight.

I guess my disgust w/legislators who do little except raise funds to keep themselves in perpetual office blinded me to that situation.

(BTW Is it really true that their staffs are paid more than the office holder? I thought the Rep/Senator got an allotment for staff and office expenses.)

He doesn't need no stinking constitution. / sarcasm

I completely agree with you. Is the man confusing being president with being a dictator???

Exactly. Doesn’t matter how experience a liberal is - they’re still a liberal.
