He did, but I still think that Obama will win.

At the end of the day, the Republicans deviated from Reagan’s values and merged with the DEMs - call them “Evangelical Democrats.”

So, I think the Republicans will be trounced, so we have no one to blame but Bush, Frist and the other “compassionate Republicans” who grew government, fought a $1 trillion war (when one bomb would have sent the message, ala Reagan in Tripoli), Hastert’s making money on Congressional dole, etc.

I am greatly saddened that Obama is going to lead us down the Carter path to economic destruction.

Two weeks ago I might agree with you, but, in the interim a major change has occurred and my enthusiasm for a sweeping victory has been strengthened enormously. Those congresspersons who have dabbled in personal aggrandizement will be shocked by the reform movement that is growing, thanks to Mac and Sarah. They will reform themselves or be exposed for all to see. I think McCain is that kind of guy. What has he to fear if he and Sarah win the election?

Damn, I feel for you. Be it far from me to try and convince you otherwise. Just do remember to cast your vote for our team on election day.

Cheer up, friend. We're gonna make it.

Actually I think it might be worse than that and McCain might just pull off a win with all excited by conservative Palin.

The real problem with this is liberal McCain will be the one in the White House with his liberal outlook on life continuing the ruin of the republican party in American's eyes. The damage to the party in the long run for a win with McCain at the head of the ticket I fear will be greater than the disaster of having Obama for 2 years and then a landslide Republican election for the country.
