is anyone worried about the dems pulling another Torch gambit and replacing Biden with Hillary? Nope.
The Dems know all too well what happened the last time they did that.
And, if Biden does pull out, they'll have to find someone absolutely magical to replace him. Someone who could counter Sarah Palin's earth-shifting drawing power. Who's that going to be? Certainly not Hillary, for a list of reasons to long to account in this reply.
Who on their side could do for them, what Gov. Sarah Palin has done for us? She's clearly energized our side because of her stellar conservative credentials, not to mention her winning personal attributes. Who do the Dems have that could re-inforce Obama's liberal credentials, while wowing 'em with her radiant personality? Cynthia McKinney? Maxine Waters? Nancy Pelosi? Egads!
We can all safely assume that Obama's strategists are scrambling behind the scenes right now to find a suitable replacement for Biden. His choice was clearly a strategic blunder of epic proportions for them. By now, they certainly realize he's pulling the ticket down.
"What to do, oh what to dooooooo....?"
Keep that image of a haggard Joe Biden in your mental buffer. It's what the soul of the liberal Democrats looks like at this point in time.

Obama can never let Hillary on the ticket. He’d be dead within 24 hours after the inauguration in an “accident” or “suicide.”

I dont mean to repeat myself, but Plugz looks horrible, no, not horrible, he looks like a horror movie. Did I hear him plagiarize Obama's "above my pay grade" line???

Why go down in defeat in 2008 when they know the Dems will be on their knees begging her to accept the nomination in 2012? That might have been true before Sarah - but now it'll be Hillary against Sarah in 2012 - and Sarah will win.

You assume Hillary would accept the VP offer. She and Bubba are too smart for that. Why go down in defeat in 2008 when they know the Dems will be on their knees begging her to accept the nomination in 2012? By all rights, FReepers oughta be calling you Captain Obvious for making that statement, but it seems that the obvious ain't quite so obvious to some at this point. LOL
Thanks for pointing this out.

That'll be a fascinating argument for Yo-Yo Joe Bidet to make:
''I'm not well enough to run for VP, but I am well enough to remain a senator.''
Right, Bidet. Sure.

They couldnt pull it off successfully. It would give the Democrat ticket the authenticity of a WWE match. Or, give them the authenticity of the McGovern campaign.

“He will bow out for health reasons.” That or the Obama run media will find a scandle (of which I’m sure there’s a lot in Biden’s closet) and he’ll bow out. Earlier I posted Obama was stuck with Biden after Rudy Giuliani’s remarks but after thinking about this I realized they’ll use the media to drive Biden out and thus give the Big O a second chance to get the pick right.

...I had the impression he had the wind knocked out of him....more like in shock. I think the shock you see is the horror of realizing that he and Obama are in way over their heads, and will be massacred in the fall. And there's not a darn thing they can do to stop it.
Poor Joe can't even drop out of the race now, as that would draw an instantaneous comparison to McGovern, and doom Obama's chances for victory (as if he had any).
McCain and Palin have these two hopelessly out-gunned, and they know that they're being forced by circumstance to walk into the street to face their political deaths.
Dead men walking...

They have lost 8 of the last 11 races and party members who just want to be in power and bring home the bacon are not going to keep backing losers. Its concievable that we could see a big shift in the Democratic party agenda in the wake of this election. I read that there are already rumblings of this shift occurring in the Rat party. The far-left has been leading them to defeat after defeat for a long time now, and it's only gotten worse since MoveOn, et al have taken over.
Coaches with losing records are often replaced by team owners. We may finally see that happen in the Rat party, as well, after November.
