management of resources question. Palin says can be done without constitutional amendment, male opponent disagrees and calls those who do not want amendment on the fringe. Palin hits back at his comment of calling them “on the fringe”.

if the people decide to say yes to this tax on ballot, that is the will of the people, we need this gas line, and we use this measure for leverage.

any conflict in state regulating a pipeline that it owns?
yes, we are the owners and why do we need to be 20% owners and not majority owners, why not allow private sector to own and state regulate it.

assuming we have no surplus, state takes ownership of gas pipeline, how do you pay for that 20% ownership of gas line?
Palin- ask the people if they are willing to invest their money, and legislature holds the purse strings, you have to work with them, not against them.

candidates allowed to ask a question of each other...Palin asks Knowles about the gridlock he caused....Knowles says he has no idea what she is talking about. Palin says she has learned it is amazing how much you can accomplish when you work with others and not against others.
Knowles gets to ask next question and begins by saying unlike Palin he will ask a question the public is interested in.

Thank you. I watched the entire 2006 gubernatorial debate. It is easy to see how she won. A fine candidate with a quick mind and extraordinary poise. She will make a great VP. Something tells me she will bring more attention and responsibility to the office than in former administrations.
