Holistic? Integrative? Sounds dodgy.Normally, I would think so too, but I have been exposed to the term in engineering circles now and it has taken on a real meaning rather than the fuzzy new-age garbage that snake-oil salesmen took advantage of.
There have been a huge amount of advances in our understanding at the biochemical level in the last 5 years, and I think it's about time someone started to glean some material principles from the data rather than the evolutionist handwaving non-explanations that biology is rife with.
