Didn’t they move the game up to 6pm Central time? It could be over just in time for the speech.

The game was moved up an hour and a half so that it might end prior to McCain’s speech.

That’s right, kickoff is 7:07 Eastern. Game should finish just about when McCain takes the stage. McCain will surely wait for the end of the game unless it goes to OT or is delayed by a thunderstorm or something.

I remember in 1988 when a Mets-Dodgers LCS game (which was in LA) was bumped to 10:30 PM Eastern time because of the vice presidential debate between Quayle and Bentsen and many New Yorkers were ticked off about it.
