I watched the entire convention last night on CSPAN. I didn't see Trig fuss once! A five month old in a loud strange environment and perfectly content.
They are in middle and high school now, so the tests may be much more accurate now.
Actually, she was. Nancy Kulp ran against PA’s Bud Shuster in 1984 for Congress. Buddy Ebsen came in and cut an ad against Nancy for being WAY too liberal. She didn’t talk to him for several years after that.
Some of them probably did. The DNC Convention had its share of fruits and nuts outside the gates.

That’s what scares me as well about all these “tests”. I had a friend who was pro-life throughout growing up, and into adulthood. When she was pregnant with her first child I guess they had a test come back saying it had some sort of birth defect - not sure which, it was either Down’s Syndrome of Spina Bifida. She then proceeded to have an abortion - and INDUCED LABOR ABORTION, no less... I tried to counsel her to at least hold her child, to honor it in some way — she would have no part of it as the doctors told her “you will NOT want to see it (it’ll be disgustingly deformed...)”. I often wonder to this day what her baby really looked like. I also wonder if sometimes they prevent parents from seeing these babies to prevent the possibility of parents discovering that the diagnosis was wrong when it’s too late... My friend tried to justify things to me with “You don’t know what it would be like to have a handicapped child” and “Your children were all born healthy” etc... etc... as if that somehow justified her decision. I just viewed it as being selfish, honestly. We haven’t spoken in a very long time although I still pray for her everyday...
