I will tell you why the election was won last night: pure unadulterated conservatism. The "red meat" stuff the GOP is supposed to hide to avoid offending the so-called moderates and independents. If McCain delivers a full bore conservative speech tonight, he will be our next President. All that's left is to close the sale with the American people.

You are so right — conservatism on display and that is exactly what has been missing from some of our Congressional candidates. When the head of NRCC tells House Members not to attend the Convention it is a waste of time and to run away from the base of the Party, then anyone following that advice deserves to lose. We won the House originally in 1994 because of the Contract with America which was a fiscal conservative blueprint for America.

Get back to our roots as a Party, and we will win elections. The energy from last night was fantastic.
