Does anyone know when Sarah will take the stage tonight? I just heard Shep Smith say about an 1 1/2 hours from now (which would be 8:30 central time), but heard early today it will be at 9:30 CST.

Jumped to the end of the line so this may have been discussed...

Shep was beating up on Mrs. Palin for lobbying for earmarks while mayor of her small town. Has the governor actually come out against Federal earmarks or just government waste and corruption?

Excerpt from Mrs. Palin's speech tonight:

On why she is going to Washington, D.C.:

"I’m not a member of the permanent political establishment. And I’ve learned quickly, these past few days, that if you’re not a member in good standing of the Washington elite, then some in the media consider a candidate unqualified for that reason alone. But here’s a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I’m not going to Washington to seek their good opinion - I’m going to Washington to serve the people of this country."
