It's a Gallup tracking poll. It is down from a high of 8 points a couple of days ago.

Didn't change yesterday, but holiday weekends usually under-sample Republicans. By the end of next week, we'll have a very clear picture of where the race really stands.

I'm expecting McCain to be right in the thick of it. If he can ever get a working lead, he will be awfully tough to overcome.

Sundays tracking poll on Gallup ending Aug 30th

The Rasmussen daily tracking poll had Obama 47%, McCain 44%.

but if you look at the sample rate the Dem’s were 40.6% and the Republican sample was 31.6% with 27.8% unaffiliated. so it is slanted toward the Democrats by almost 10% Same prbably goes for the Gallup poll! I tried for their info but it was not available.
