Like quicksilver the lake waters glitter
and the sun dances to a celestial song
As martins swoop and dive and flitter
as summer so swift speeds always along

Sweet scent of flowers, smell of pine
flavor the day with hints of memories
The breeze tumbles butterflies, a sign
and my mood changes as ordinary flees

Laughter by the lake sets the mood apace
lovers, old folks and children understand
Life is for living outside the race
Oh blessed, this sun soaked lovely land
