Worth The Fighting For
Author: John McCain
Upcoming Schedule
Sunday, August 31, at 10:00 PM
About the Program
Join Book TV as we follow Sen. John McCain for two days in Chicago, while he promotes his memoir, "Worth the Fighting For." It's a follow-up to his earlier book, "Faith of My Fathers," and describes his experiences after his release from Vietnam as a prisoner of war to the U.S. Senate, and his recent campaign for President. The book also includes portraits of men who inspired him: Theodore Roosevelt, aviation maverick Billy Mitchell, Emiliano Zapata, and The Yankee's Ted Williams.
~~PING!
VERY interesting, in depth and personal look on the many interviews he gave on this tour.
Discussed the Keating scandal and how wrong he was to be in a room with federal regulators and 5 senators, because of the horrible impression that was created. He fully admits repeatedly how wrong he was to do that, that he threw him out of his office one time, and sort of intimates that in effect he was used by Keating.
STILL ON .. WORTH WATCHING ... CSPAN-2.
I hate having Macs few times. This is one of them.
THE YANKEES TED WILLIAMS??!
WTF?
Is there another Ted Williams who happened to play for the Yanks?
If that’s what he said, he’s totally off track. He mentioned
Fenway, so I don’t know how he screwed that up.
Thank you for the ping STARWISE.
