Could it be your manner of speaking, your appearance, mode of dress or chosen profession? Stereotypes can be difficult to surmount, especially when dealing with putative "liberals," who really are more authoritarian than liberal ... espousing debauchery to preoccupy the hoi polloi, but rule with an iron fist, lol.

Sometimes people just look like a conservative or a liberal. I’m at a point where when I see a man in the streets type interview I can almost tell what the person will say before they say it.
