On FoxNews, I thought I caught the tail end of the "brother-in-law-gate" scandal with Palin in Alaska. I thought I heard them mention that her brother-in-law had threatened to shoot someone, and that was why her people wanted him fired. Is that true?
He tasered an 11 y/o boy. Sarah had him investigated for that and he was eventually fired. Sounds like he deserved to be fired.
Yes. Also, the brother-in-law supposedly tasered his 11 year old son, drank beer in a patrol car, and other reckless behavior.
He threatened Sarah’s family, threatened her father in front of other family members (charges “dismissed” by judge on technicality that the father was not present, just other family)-
Charges he tasered his 10 yr old son as a form of “discipline” were proven
The guy is a state trooper and armed- not exactly the hapless victm of a political venedetta
Sounds like the guy who refused to fire him deserved himself to be fired.
THis is just the libs trying out of desperation.
I don’t know much about the brother in law. Sounds like a potential news story.
Won’t affect Palin though. To the democrats, I say go for it.
If this is all true it would have been negligent for a government officeholder or a citizen not to report this misconduct to the trooper’s supervisors.
I think this is the gist of the so-called scandal
Why the state officials in charge of policing the police have dragged their feet to the point that alarmed members of Gov Palin’s staff urged her intervention
From what I’ve read, he threatened to “put a bullet” in Sarah’s father.......
The troopers supervisors are aware of all charges including those that have been proven
They have done nothing
God forbid you or a member of your family be threatened by a cop- the fraternity of brotherhood closes ranks to protect its own
He tasered an 11 y/o boy.
::::::::
She should have used this guy for bear-bait.
....this was overheard by several witnesses, including Sarah’s nephew (the 10 year old Tazer victim).
He did, he was and Palin does not need a reason to fire someone in that position. They serve at her whim...just like the attorney generals in the federal system.

I think the DBM should pick this up with a pair of tongs, because it is about the po-lice and abuse of power, and about a violent husband/father. This is a lifetime movie plot, and a good one. They need to be careful how they deal with this.
Actually, I saw some other comment on FOX that Palin was upset because after A YEAR - the guy had still not been disciplined (fired). Did I hear that she fired the supervisor because he didn’t fire the guy - and that’s what the whole “scandal” is about.
If that’s true .. I really like this gal .. she doesn’t mess around.
The fact he was a former brother-in-law didn’t seem to gain the guy any points with his former sister-in-law. I also heard (but can’t find data) that her sister divorced him because he had battered the sister. Knowing the story of his tasering his own son .. the battering doesn’t sound that far fetched.
