Question on Palin's Brother-in-Law

On FoxNews, I thought I caught the tail end of the "brother-in-law-gate" scandal with Palin in Alaska. I thought I heard them mention that her brother-in-law had threatened to shoot someone, and that was why her people wanted him fired. Is that true?

Thanks for the explanation.

You’re right, it helps Palin. Confirms my impression of her.

This is a lifetime movie plot, and a good one. They need to be careful how they deal with this.

But Obama's people have already proven that they don't know how to handle the primetime. I suspect them to go after this, start to make a big deal about it, and then the McCain-Palin camp shoots back about how the guy is a child-abuser who threatened to kill Sarah Palin's father. So now it looks like the Obama camp wants to protect the proverbial "abusive jerk" husband against a person who is trying to protect her sister and nephew. Imagine how our side will turn this against the creator of the Violence Against Women Act.

So Monegan, the public safety commissioner who lost his job, finds himself smack in the middle of the good ole boys’ network, along with the corrupt GOP former governor defeated at the ballot by Palin. These cowards want to hang on to their corrupt little system there, which explains the nature of their complaints against Sarah Palin who doesn’t stand for such nonsense.

The trooper in question threatened Palin’s family, tasered his own 11 year old son, abused state resources and is linked to other illegal activities.

Palin is correct that this type of activity by a “public safety officer” is just beyond the pale.

You cannot allow one bad apple to spoil the rest of the bunch - those who are Troopers for the right reasons, and do not take advantage of their status.
