With the Palin choice for VP yesterday, my wife is extremely excited and motivated to support the McCain/Palin ticket. We are thinking of doing some precinct volunteer work now.
remember to not to forget the down ticket. If we can kick out some of the the left wing obama democrats perhaps we can hear the chants of USA in congress again.
LOL That’s what I get for trying to freep and listen to Rush at the same time.
...and unlike Obama, she's visited wounded soldiers in Landstuhl, Germany, too:
My mother was so excited after I told her. Later, she was telling her neighber all I told her.
Tomorrow McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Palin are all stopping in Missouri and My wife two kids and myself are all going to the rally. I have not been a big fan of McCain but this pick really helps me to get on the bandwagon and support him.
The fact that she's a staunch conservative, tomboy, devoted mother of five, Christian, pro-lifer, conservationist who puts country first... well, that had something to do with it too. :)
I hope it was for her qualities and not because she is a woman alot people do that you know.
Don’t know how indicative this is of non political people but I got email from my cousin, who is 62 and ready to retire. She did not like Obama and was leaning McCain anyway but now says she is enthusiastic and very excited about voting GOP thanks to Palin! Hopefully she is representative of a lot of women. If only a small number of uncommitted independent types vote McCain/Palin now, it could make a difference.
Yes! Send her over on a fact finding mission. Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa, Germany, Italy.
Two weeks. A “bring her up to snuff” fact finding mission. Send a few Policy nerds with her to help prep for the debates.
Especially, send her husband, Todd, with her. Do some searching, this guy is becoming popular. The “first dude”!
Those are two great photos....
We were most pleasantly amazed when we watched Palin being interviewed by Maria Barturomo re oil in Alaska and Palin’s role in general as governor, etc.
Palin is extremely articulate and can express herself without a teleprompter. And she can keep her half of a dialogue going.
I can’t wait to see her debate the Bloviator. I’d also like to see her debate Obama but that’s not going to happen. At least not in a formal setting.
The “who is Palin” question is going to be answered pretty quickly, I think. Unless, of course, the MSM tries to make her invisible. But that’s not going to happen anyway, since the MSM has been replaced by the internet as a news source.
And you just know 9% Nancy is green with envy at Palin’s 80% approval rating! I’ll bet Nancy sputters in her sleep.

What an awesome pick. I just happened to tune in Rush while I was working and Palin is just starting her speech and Rush is just pumped and I’m stoked and the crowd is chanting USA! USA! USA!... i almost cried it was so good.
I was trying my hardest to settle for this or that, rationalize unfavorable choices.
And then out of the blue.... Governor Palin, making that awesome speech. Almost beyond words to describe. It was like a cloud was lifted and the sun burst forth for the first time in years.
I remember Elizabeth Dole making great speeches like that!
Finally, I am interested in this election beyond ‘Save the Republic, Preserve the Constitution’ which was enough to make me vote with conviction, but not as enthusiastically as I am now.
I’ve seen photos of Palin in Iraq with troops. It was on TV the other night. At least I thought it was Iraq. But maybe it was her National Guard. She is Commander-in-Chief os the Alaskan National Guard.
Come to think of it, they were in green cammies.
Great! Jane and I are very very excited about Sarah Palin too. Now we can dispel old Billie’s rumor that Hope is a place in Arkansas. That cornball joke is getting old, there Bubba.
And Obama’s notion of hope is not the same as our notion of hope, since our hope is that he does not win the election.
Hopefully Obama and Michelle’s learning curve includes losing gracefully but I doubt it. They don’t seem to have it in them.
double dittos! We need to get the House back. And the Senate too. After all, Vice President Palin will be president of the Senate. Watch Harry Reid sputter. Especially if the Republicans take back both houses of Congress. And watch the approval rating take off like a rocket!
And that’s a real handshake too!
Yeah, I hear ya. I'm still trying to figure out what was so special about that moment and that speech. I was sitting in my car at lunchtime eating a hamburger listening to her with tears in my eyes. Hard to describe but she brought a very Reaganesque sense of elevation to the moment. This is a special lady. I'm really excited about this ticket now.
