Sarah, give Bambi and Biden the “Barracuda”.
Make that I’d...
Ronin needs to proof before he posts.
You are very kind, but I confess to not being ready for the big stage. :) I was shocked to find myself crying today when Governor Palin was being introduced by Senator McCain. I had never seen her on tv or even on a video. I have seen numerous photos of her over the last few months, but that is it. I did not know if she would impress me or leave me wondering why McCain made such a pick. I was very impressed and believe she will serve her country admirably. God bless her and her family!!!!
BTW, we are celebrating the birth of our 10th child who was born 2 weeks ago. He is a wonderful addition to our family!!!
The blogosphere has been discussing the resemblance and hoping that Tina returns to SNL to play Sarah.
BUMP!
And a big THANK YOU to a great Conservative Woman.
Looking forward to the fight, and I am with you all the way to speaking for our Nation’s BEST representative in the path to the truth. Old Washington is not the path, you are.
Congratulations on the new boy! My husband is talking about babies again, but so far it’s about other people’s babies :-), so I just have to be patient. Hard to be patient at 42, though!
Why thank you!
You know, I’m just really glad it’s a good conservative woman. She is a great role model. In the same sense I feel it’s a shame that Obama was the first black nominee. Far from being a vanguard he is representative of the worst of this country’s policies and attitudes.
I will be 41 when my 10th is born. I wouldn’t want the Veep job, though! LOL!
I am SO thrilled with this VP pick. McCain’s team has really impressed me. Hard hitting ads, and now a true conservative as VP. This is an exciting time. :-)
I cried also. I very much identify with her. I think a lot of mothers will see themselves in her.
Congratulations to you, too!
Congratulations!
Yeeeeehaaaaaa!
And thank you for the classy post. :-D
you and me both! i was emailing with a lib dem colleague yesterday who thought i was going to be upset by this pick bc i had preferred mitt; he wanted to gloat. i had said i thought she needed more “seasoning”. i still hold that view but explained to him that there is a calculus involved with costs and benefits and there is no perfect candidate and then i said i saw her speak and KNEW she would connect with the people in Ohio and Pennsylvania, because that’s where i am from and have family. i listed every way she was going to kick their butts and i ended with saying i have never been an I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR type, that i don’t hold with that sisterhood crap, but that it was cracking me UP that libs who are obsessed with it, have no woman on their ticket but we do. You are right, it’s a delicious irony!
you have expressed my opinion perfectly in that post! but admit it, it’s funny as all get out that the dems are obsessed with those 18 million cracks in the ceiling that hillary got by butting her head up against it, and ole Sarah just got up there and poked her head through.
I think she’s going to connect with women cause she’s smart, beautiful, and powerful, and every woman I’ve ever met wants to be that. Plus, she’s proof (or inspiration) to all kinds of women that a career and a happy family is possible... and that’s another dream that most women I know have. She’s even made me happy about being a woman and that women’s rights and equality have come this far, which is really unusual cause I’m usually the person who couldn’t care less about the actual male/female ratio as long as there’s equal opportunity.
Thanks!
Thanks! And congrats to you as well! :)
OMIGOSH!
Thank you so much for honoring our first post-feminist candidate!
Most of the wimmens here are of the post-feminist variety.
God love you for figgering that out.
You are one great Snurple. ;o)
Im a big ol guy who is so damned happy to see a conservative woman on her way to becoming a VP. My mom and wife are good conservative women who will both both be around to see this day. I am really happy for them and you and every other woman who has waited to see this day. its been too long coming.
