The coastline hook at the LA-Miss borer traps a lot of water. Katrina went 40 feet, I’ve plotted the waterline and even though nobody else agrees, I know what the OH imagery showed and know what the elevation models indicate.
No call for Gus surge now, I don’t have that capability anyway. Need big computers to do that. I’ll have a rough guess posted as to where to expect max, nominal and min surge 12 to 24 hours prior to landfall.
