Just be careful...the byproduct of dry ice “melting” is unhealthy.
Thanks for the ping NN, I have been following these threads with sympathy for you all in the way. With Gustav, however, we have been notified by the Red Cross to prepare to open shelters for evacuees from the NO area.
Casto doesn't allow Hurricanes if they came into Cuba they wouldn't be allowed to leave.
YIKES!
LOL!
right. no coffee yet.
If Gustav keeps heading south before it makes a uturn he might have time to gain a big head of steam.
If Hanna is a TS by 11am, are you going to have separate threads, or just a combined one since they are so contemporaneous?
Could get nast, appears to be developing quite fast.http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/gmex/loop-avn.html
Heck it might even be a three fer.
In previous hurricane thread another poster pointed out that before a major storm many people buy bread milk and eggs. This means that during a hurricane people make French toast.
Beer, you forgot about the beer, gotta have that for the BBQ.
The Red Cross has plans to open shelters in Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia if a full scale evacuation is necessary.
I went to the store a few days after Dolly. There was very little in the dairy/cold depts but can goods, bread etc everywhere. Did people buy out the perishables or maybe Walmart didn’t order ...just seemed strange.
I am preparing a dual thread with data for both storms. It will be up shortly.
Heads up Cindy, that storm in the SWGOM is just exploding down there.
You are right its not, and I did have to dump about 7 or 8 gallons one time.
Might need to make it a threesome if that storm in the SWGOM developes.
