At least you HAVE a plan! Seriously... it was insane/scary watching Nagin and that Gov behave so foolishly before Katrina. ("pray it away".. "it'll turn, they always do!") And then to act so shocked/victimized after the levies let go!
LOL
We got married on Denver (a zillion years ago). But, now, around anniversery time, it’s a little dicey. I was going to plan something, but I’m not going to. We can just have a candlelight dinner, and if it’s with the hurricane shutters closed up, it’ll just be darker!

yuck!
My sister and bro in law are in League City and my nephew and his wife are in Friendswood. Mom and I are on the Alabama Gulf Coast..her 1 block from the Gulf and me a couple of miles from Mobile Bay. With friends in the NOLA area and family down in Naples FL..we pretty much have the Gulf covered! lol
~trying to reason with hurricane season~ j buffett
I’ll take my rumrunners in a glass thank you kindly. HAHAHAHA!!
Yikes! Most of my family is TX inland and NM.

Just popped up, my god we could get all three hitiing about the sametime.
I heard this morning that the Superdome in New Orleans will NOT be used to house residents not willing to evacuate. Also, Harris County (TX) Commissioner here in Houston said that the Astrodome will NOT be opened to house evacuees, that it makes no sense to evacuate into another hurricane zone. Folks should head north to evacuate.
3 is probably too close to land to be an issue.
Thank God he packed up- I hope he is leaving today?!?!
Is Gustav a hurricane at 1100 too?
Disturbing graph. Forecasters seem to be predicting this stuff way to the right of S TX but the more that is out there....
Not sure, perhaps.. though it is starting to interact with Jamaica a bit.
Let us know if your local met mentions that 3 thing.
