I shouldn't complain because it's the people who live there who will really suffer.
Thank you for the threads, NN.
Thanx for the ping NN!!
TANKS,NN...
Just great. Go take a couple Advil before you look at the next tracking map.
;)
Thanks dear one. Heads up again!
We are being rained on...and rained on here in central Alabama with Miss Fay.
Praise the Lord for the water though.
It looks like we may be in a much better position concerning our rain deficit. Maybe none for a while!
But many prayers for the ones who have lost family members and possessions from this storm.
This one an inny too Ike - no one is safe.I noticed the NES has actually tried to predict the path - foolish mortals ;)
Let me try this again;
This one an innie (inside the gulf) too Ike - no one is safe.
I noticed the NWS has actually tried to predict the path - foolish mortals ;)
LOL--was thinking y'all had a secret code.
Yup. We took our 'licking' last night from the 'back-end' bands streaming north off the gulf. I just returned from a tour of my small community...some trees down and medium to small limbs everywhere.
TD 7 looks as if it will soon be TS Gustav. http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/flt/t2/loop-vis.html
Just started to pour here. I always know. :)
I hope Fay moves on over toward Georgia and fills Lake Lanier so that Atlanta will stop stealing our (Alabama - Florida) water.
Brown = Exceptional Drought
I don’t have time for this right now and I know very well that everyone in Florida is fed up with storms.
Please send it to Cuba. :)
Commiseration on the mildew. My power is still out here in Jax. My neighbor's tree is now at a 45 degree angle- threatening my house. (Freeping at work.)
For the last five days I've been forcing the dogs to go out in the rain to do their business. The mud is INSANE. But it's not all bad. When I don't have my creature comforts, the diet goes out the window. We do takeout and Happy Hour starts at noon. Also, hubby takes everything to the laundromat for one big load. At least it's stopped raining--for now.
Whoa!!!
My son has been waiting for 10 days to get a home owner’s insurance binder on a Florida home he is buying. There wasn’t a business day last week that any agents could write Florida coverage.
Got it paid for and bound coverage this morning. Hope we get through a Wednesday closing before the forecasts are announced!
Great timing getting the coverage bound this morning. Nothing to worry about now. Went through the same exercise 10 years ago trying to close the last day of August. Had to bind the coverage well before closing, and before Hurricane Georges was named. It's a tricky time of year for closing on real estate around here.
You'll have to take that up with Karl Rove and President Bush. They don't let me near the hurricane controls. It's above my pay grade.
Not a bad deal until the whites come back from the laundry pinkish-purple.
